POSITION TITLE: Development Executive
 
REPORTING TO: President & CEO
 
LOCATION: Oakville/Burlington

OVERVIEW: The Company specializes in sourcing, advising, structuring, capitalizing
and managing real estate projects to generate effective investment returns
for our partners. The firm establishes joint ventures relationships with
developer/builder partners and property owners. They structure investment
opportunities to allow both smaller and larger real estate investors to
participate in real estate projects of varying size through mortgage
investment.

Projects include commercial (office, retail, industrial) income properties,
multi-residential income properties, construction projects and
development projects of which a number will be folded into a private
REIT structure.
 
SCOPE: The management team has expertise in real estate acquisition, finance,
construction, development and asset management. Depending on the
project, the Company will function either as the Project/Property/Asset
Manager or as (at a minimum) an Investor Project Monitor and remain
appropriately involved in all projects from start to finish.
We seek a Development Executive with experience in mixed-use
retail/commercial and residential assets. You have a solid track record in
identifying and creating value through in-fill development, including the
repositioning of under-valued assets through Capex and leasing.

EXPERIENCE: The current 2017/18 project plan has a 1MM sq. ft. of new mixed-use
build. We seek a development professional skilled in fostering “LEED”
suburban projects including development advisory, design team
management, approvals and project management through to hand-over for
commissioning. Physical & planning due diligence as well as design
development, project cost estimation, financial return analysis and
construction over-sight are critical elements in the job scope. Site plan and
municipal approval experience in key GTA markets
 
EDUCATION: Business Administration studies with a Civil Engineering or Architectural certification would be preferred. It would be advantageous if the candidate possessed a Certified Leasing Officer (CLO) designation from REIC
combined with ten years of successful development experience within the
Greater Toronto Area would be preferred.
 
ATTRIBUTES: Sound verbal communication skills projecting a Boardroom presence,
effective organizational skills with an ISO approach to process
management
 
COMPENSATION: Six figures with bonus and potential for participation
